The International Scientific Conference for Students and Young Researchers “Topical Issues of Medicine” was held at Stavropol State Medical University. The competition brought together 475 foreign and Russian students, young scientists and professors.

Mahmud Mohamed Mazlum, an assistant of the Department of Surgical Dentistry With the Course of ENT Diseases, and Daria Kozlova, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Dentistry, presented reports on the topics “Digital Technologies in Surgical Practice” and “Elimination of Gingival Recessions Through Surgical Intervention” (Supervisor Associate Professor A.N. Zhuravlev) in the section "Topical Issues of Dentistry.  

As a result, Mahmud Mohamed Mazlum won the second place and Daria Kozlova was awarded with a diploma for the third place. Thus, RSMU reporters showed high level of training and fruitful results.

It is imperative for practitioners of medicine, students and researchers involved in the medical field to take part in medical conferences regularly, not to only enjoy steady growth in their careers but also to expand their knowledge base, gain more skills and stay ahead of their peers.
