In the new academic year Language Time Club welcomed cordially everyone who wanted to bridge the language divide and hit off with new friends. The first meeting brought together students from Russia, Egypt, Syria, Algeria, Lebanon, Morocco, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Dagestan.
Nozanin Sharifova and Furkat Tulanov, Gereral Medicine seniors, organized quest-games that were aimed at overcome the language barrier. Valeria P. Vernigorova, international department specialist, held a workshop on the topic “Student Life is an Idiom”. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity not only to enrich their vocabulary, but also to immerse themselves in the history, culture of the Russian, English and French languages. In the capacity of creative tasks Russian students were telling international students about their phraseological units in English, while Foreigners taught them how to grasp some English and French phrases.
Among the club’s plans are excursions as well as visits to the parks, museums, sights of Ryazan. Today, weekly meetings in the club are planned, and their program will be formed taking into account the preferences of the students.
