Сhristopher Chandimaal Fernando (Sri Lanka) graduated from RSMU in 2013.

My decision to become a doctor was driven largely by values instilled in me by my family. My father impressed upon me the virtues of hard work and commitment over personal gain and the privilege it was to help others. Currently a career in medicine is one of the oldest and most respected professions in Sri Lanka, but not everyone can afford to carve the budding career as a doctor.

After graduating I successfully took the medical license exam in Sri Lanka in 2013. After a while I had an opportunity to undergo an internship in a state clinic.  On today I work as an anesthesiologist. In this field, I am on a path of continuous progress. The fact that I have successfully made people smile with my jobs makes me feel blessed. In general, my plan for future is to make career in the UK.

Addressing would-be-doctors, I would like to remember that there are spaceless ways to boost your professional development. Don't stop at nothing! I wish you hit the big time!
