University staff has taken part in Russian National Congress of Cardiology held Online due to the epidemiological situation.

The scientific program of the event included lectures, plenary sessions, scientific symposia, training seminars, sectional meetings, stands, a contest of young scientists and many more. Much attention was paid to problems related to the new corona viral infection affecting patients with cardiovascular diseases.
RSMU scientists took a most active part in the Congress meetings presenting over 20 reports.

It is worthwhile to say that Sergei Stepanovich Yakushin, the Head of the Department of Hospital Therapy, joined the organizing committee of the Congress and spoke at the plenary session of the event.

The essential result of the Congress was the presentation of a new classification of IHD made by Professor S.S. Yakushin in front of the Presidium of Russian Cardiological Society. The proposed classification was approved by the Presidium and should be implemented in practice in Russia.
