On December 18 RSMU held the Festival of the “Club of the Cheerful and Sharp-Witted” – a traditional student humour contest.
Five RSMU teams from the Faculties of General Medicine, Dentistry, Preventive Health, Pharmacy and the Faculty of International Students took part in the Festival. The members of the jury were medical workers with years of practice who used to participate in the same events back in their student times!
The contest program consisted of a freestyle sketch “I am a doctor”, giving on-the-spot answers to the jury`s questions and a “Musical Freestyle” performance.
The results of the Festival are the following:
- 1st place - the Faculty of International Students
- 2nd place - the Faculty of General Medicine
- 3rd place was shared between the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Preventive Health
The cheer teams of the faculties had a chance to compete as well! The jury chose the best cheerleading chant (the Faculty of International Students) and the longest poster (the Faculty of Preventive Health) and awarded both teams with 1 extra point each!
The Festival was an unconditional success, the teams are happy with their performance and motivated to improve their humour skills and win over new festivals to come!
