Mikhail Alpeev, a holder of a “People’s Doctor-2019” diploma, graduated from RSMU Faculty of General Medicine in 2011:
- During my studies at Ryazan State Medical University I saw myself as a future traumatologist but circumstances put me in touch with neurology, which I am now grateful for. After the graduation I went on with a residency program in neurology. I gained theoretical knowledge and developed practical skills in Ryazan Regional Clinical Hospital and city hospitals # 5 and # 10.
In August 2013, after completing my residency training course, I was hired as a neurologist at Ozyorsk Central District Hospital, located in a small town in Moscow Region.
Today I double-job my work at the hospital with one at a polyclinic. On my days off I go to Kolomna – there I have worked with patients with acute cerebrovascular disease at the Regional Vascular Center for more than 4 years. Besides that, I see patients in a suburban sanatorium.
I am planning to defend the thesis in the nearest future and master manual therapy. I would like to say the following to RSMU applicants and students – your way to becoming a doctor will be filled with difficulties and obstacles, but the result is worth it. You will realize it in a while, when you see that you can help patients and they need you!
