On Saturday the tourist club of RyazSMU “Theleos” celebrated its 50th anniversary. The offside event for students and workers of the University was organized at the recreation base of the University "Zdorovye". There was the hiking briefing, exhibition of swimming aids, rafting on the river Staritsa and the real tourists lunch for all guests. The brightest guest was the student from Tunisia Jradi Abdelaziz. For the first time he managed a kayak and did it perfectly!

Moreover, there on Saturday was the traditional All-Russian race “Cross Nation”.

The cross wasn’t only attended by trained athletes, but also amateurs. The race was held in six different categories. More than one hundred students, teachers and activists took part in this event. For the first time our foreign students became participants of the race. The guys shared that they got a lot positive and will participate in such events every time.

The weekends ended with a famous Russian game similar to skittles “Gorodki”. The team of foreign students “Al-Jazeera” became the silver medalist of this event! There were 11 teams consisting of students from schools and colleges, students of our university and locals who are not indifferent to the game. That’s why all of them take part in it. All participants were awarded with diplomas and the winners received the basket of ripe apples as a gift.
