The traditional International Festival “Make friends like Russian” took place in RyazSMU before the People's Unity Day. For several years this event has become a good tradition which symbolizing tolerance, friendship and cultural diversity, which are so important in modern society. There were representatives of other Ryazan universities and special guests. This year there was a rich and interesting program, which allowed every guest touched a diversity of world cultures. The guests of the Festival got acquainted with the customs of different cultures, saw bright concert and the exhibition of national items. There were unique exhibits revealing the rich cultural heritage of the cultures. Moreover, there were fragrant dishes of different cuisines of all over the world which became an unforgettable addition to the general atmosphere of the celebration.

The Rector of RyazSMU Professor Roman Evgenyevich Kalinin spoke at the ceremonial part of the event.

“In different languages the word “friendship” sounds differently, but it is understood in the same way. It is the most sincere, the most beautiful and the most powerful feeling that allows us to move, develop, feel ourselves in a team and make the world a better place. The fact that we are together, that we are friends, that we feel each other is very valuable”, said Roman Kalinin/
