RSMU Culture and Leisure Center has held a large-scale festival of East Asian cultures dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the University.
During the opening ceremony Rector Roman Kalinin welcomed the gathered and thanked the participants from different Russian regions and abroad for their help and support in holding the festival.
As part of the event various activities were organized. Everyone was able to take part in a traditional tea ceremony, try their hand in the art of calligraphy, practice Chinese gymnastics Taijiquan, play chess and the game of GO.
Also, a tournament in Japanese chess Shogi was held in Ryazan for the first time. The RSMU student of General Medicine Faculty from Tajikistan Tozhiev Abdugaffor Abduradashidovich took the prize-winning place.
The East Asia National Culture Festival was attended by more than a hundred participants, including representatives of East Asian countries, young and talented members of the student community.
