Cooperation with Kazakh Universities

Today international cooperation is becoming an increasingly important part of a university's activities. Therefore, RSMU continues active cooperation with partner universities of Kazakhstan, realizing programs of student and teaching staff academic mobility both in person and online.

This academic year five 6th year General Medicine students from "Medical University of Karaganda" (Karaganda, Kazakhstan) became to RSMU for a month-long course in "Infectious Diseases", "Phthisiology", and "Dermatovenerology".

Students attended different cultural events and discovered the city, as well as met Rector Roman Kalinin and shared their impressions of staying in Ryazan and studying at Ryazan State Medical University departments.

Also 44 students and 7 master students from MUK studied online at RSMU departments of Public Health and Health Care, Microbiology and Management of Economics and Pharmacy.

Semey Medical University (Semey, Kazakhstan) is another significant partner of our university in the field of student and professor exchanges.

During 2022/2023 autumn semester RSMU professors organized online training for international students in a number of disciplines, as well as a variety of master classes. The Department of Biological Chemistry presented the workshop "Cell Technology: Modeling and Methods of Detection of Oxidative Stress", which was attended by more than 100 SMU students. Several days (20 academic hours) of intense training arouse the interest of the audience.

In addition, 5 SMU professors gave lectures and workshops to RSMU students online, as well as 38 students and 185 residents from Semey Medical University were trained online at our university’s departments of Oncology, Dermatovenerology, Disaster Medicine and Emergency Medicine, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Faculty Therapy, Hepatology and the Accreditation and Simulation Center.

At the moment we are getting ready to welcome several groups of exchange students from Karaganda and Semey for a six-month training course in 2022/2023 spring semester.
