Feker Abrud (Tunisia) graduated from RSMU (Faculty of International Students, specialization «General Medicine», Ophthalmology residency program) in 2003.
Since childhood I dreamt to become a doctor. Having entered RSMU I made up my mind to be an ophthalmologist. As my uncle was an ophthalmologist, he had influenced my choice a lot and it was worth it.
Having finished my studies, I returned to my Motherland and decided to set up my own businesses in Tozeur. I am a successful ophthalmologist in my country today. Ophthalmology is a competitive specialty to get into. I have a lot of work to do daily and I am happy with the career path I chose.
My advice for all medical students is to follow the path that they have chosen even if it’s a long and winding one. Learn as hard as you can and improve your skills. At the end of it all you’ll be met by your thankful patients that is the best reward for me.
I’ve never regretted choosing RSMU as my medical school. The knowledge and experience I gained there are precious. I’m very thankful to the University and remember my school years with much love and gratitude!
