On the 30th of March a South African Embassy delegation, headed by plenipotentiary minister Henry W. Short, arrived at RSMU. The delegation was welcomed by the University`s representatives and accompanied to a meeting room to discuss further cooperation perspectives.

 In the course of the meeting last year cooperation results and further development of relationships between RSMU and medical faculties of Free State leading universities were discussed. Issues of joint scientific projects and academic mobility programs also came under discussion as well as possible admission enrollment of 20 South African students to the RSMU General Medicine faculty next academic year.

At the end of the visit the officials got a chance to meet 9 South African students who study at Ryazan State Medical University at the moment.
Both sides were satisfied with the results of the negotiations and the head of the delegation thanked RSMU executives for the fruitful partnership they`d had.
