RSMU Record-Breaking Summer Exchange

This summer RSMU has accepted the biggest number of exchange students from foreign Universities since 2012.

This time 19 students from such countries as Spain, Slovakia, Lithuania, Greece, Hungary, France, the Czech Republic, Morocco, China, Kazakhstan and Serbia came to get professional and research training at clinical and theoretical sites and laboratories of the University.

At the same time 26 students from Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarus, had a two-week practice at the RSMU Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery and Internal Medicine.

Earlier this summer RSMU hosted 10 students of Karaganda State Medical University, Kazakhstan, who had a short-term clerkship in Internal Medicine there.

Rector Roman Kalinin met the exchange students at the end of their stay at RSMU. Speaking in front of the audience he stressed the importance of academic mobility programs for professional development of would-be-doctors and thanked everyone for having chosen RSMU as a training site that summer. In their turn the exchange students expressed gratitude to the University for the experience they had gained and laid special emphasis on the professionalism of their tutors.
